„This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit.“

„My wedding party reunited after 40 years of absence at this house. The place was PERFECT. „It started with Carol and Pete bring us the most delicious home made scones for our breakfast for the next three mornings. The house was so beautiful and well equipped for all your needs. The grounds are well maintained and are the home to donkeys, chickens ( that will provide you with fresh eggs) emus & some neighbors cows.The atmosphere is nothing but peaceful. The only bad part of the weekend was having to leave, but we plan and hope to return.“

„This property was very nice. The main negative thing I would say is that it is not listed anywhere that the rental area is up a long flight of stairs. They advertise about a handicapped shower, but the house is not handicap accessible. There are also sheer curtains in the master bedroom that don’t offer much privacy. Other than that it is exactly as pictured, clean and very nice.“

„This property was such a perfect location for our vacation. Less than 30 minutes from Lancaster, PA made it easy for a quick trip into town. The property has stunning views and is very peaceful. Communication with Brian was phenomenal, he was very responsive and helpful. we had 4 adults and one child 2 years of age. What a great surprise to find baby gates at all stairways!! „There were four adults who shared apartment A. It was a great place to just "hang out." We enjoyed sitting around the fire ring listening to the birds and walking over to see the horses and deer in the field. We only stayed two nights. The beds were comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. The kitchen was equipped with most of what you would need, although we could have used a grater for cheese and a baking dish. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and would stay here again.“

„It is an amazing house with large areas for playing board games, lots of sleeping arrangements and plenty of bathrooms. There were candy treats, coffee options and a basket of fresh eggs. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The house was very cozy and welcoming when we arrived. „This is a nice sized hotel well located near eating and shopping (walking distance). Our room was nice and clean but had water damage on the wall in the bathroom. Wallpaper was bubbling off the wall. Restaurant food was very good. Indoor pool area was nice and courtyard area was relaxing.
