„Es war dieses Mal unser fünfter Aufenthalt in Cholchester, sodass wir die Gegend bereits sehr gut kannten. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und idyllisch an direkter Wassefront. Cholchester ist mit dem Auto in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Oberflächlich ist das Haus sauber, nur beim genaueren Hinsehen und Nutzen der Küche waren zum Beispiel deutliche Fettanhaftungen an der Dunstabzugshaube und nicht gut gereinigtes Besteck festzustellen. „Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out.“

„The Tallow Factory is a wonderful character-filled place for a family or group gathering, in the heart of Dedham Village and the surrounding Dedham Vale. The ground floor has three comfortable entertaining areas, if you include the walled garden along with the wood beamed lounge and large country kitchen. Upstairs easily sleeps 8-10 people. The neighboring Sun Inn serves excellent food. Thoroughly recommend!!“
