The only complaint was there is no elevator and the steps are steep. We would sit in the lobby before climbing up to our room. Breakfast was good. Staff was very good. We had a room over looking a canal and watching the many gondolas go by. Just warn about the many steps for seniors especially.

The hotel is great! The three gentlemen working the front desk are fantastic. They are helpful, patient and always greet you when you come or go from the hotel.
There were some reviews about the breakfast being not great but we found it perfectly fine. It is your typical European breakfast fare - meats, eggs, pastries, cheese, etc. The wait staff were also very friendly and were very quick with the coffee!!

Worth going up to the museum and loggia (roof) for 5 e - get closer to the ceiling mosaics, see the original horses, and quite a lot more, as well as being able to go outside and look down on the square.

Go on a guided tour otherwise massive queu's, paying an extra 5 euros each to see the upper floor museum and outdoor balcony is well worth it.
