Be picked up in Ponta Delgada and head towards Lagoa das Furnas. During your stop at lagoa das Furnas, you’ll get the chance to see the underground cooking holes where is made the typical cozido stew as well as lagoa das furnas, created after a volcanic eruption.
After your stop at Lagoa das Furnas, you’ll visit Terra Nostra Garden, a romantic-style botanical garden, built in the 18th and 19th centuries, known worldwide for the geothermal swimming pool and the variety of the exotic vegetation.
You’ll also visit Caldeiras das Furnas, known as Fumarolas das Furnas, emit vapors and gases with a strong sulphur odour, with springs and hot springs. Afterwards, head to Pico do Ferro lookout point for panoramic views of the island.
Before the tour comes to an end, you’ll visit the local tea factory, Gorrena, and stop at Santa Iria viewpoint.
