Activity itinerary

Departing Moreton-in-Marsh at 9.45am on Wednesdays and Fridays and 10.00am on Sundays (time confirmed at time of booking) the day tour visits Dover’s Hill, Chipping Campden, Broadway Tower, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury and a secret off-the-beaten-track Cotswolds village. Ticket price includes a pick up from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station, making it a tour that is easily accessible from London, Oxford and Worcester. After an introduction in the minibus before departure the tour heads into the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to our first stop - a drive of less than 15 minutes. The journey is an opportunity to watch the landscape change and meet your fellow Go Cotswolders before your friendly local driver guide tells the interesting storey of the Cotswolds on arrival at Dover’s Hill – a storey that includes facts, history and local folklore. This 20 minute stop is followed by a “self-explore” stop five minutes away at Chipping Campden. Stopping for an hour visitors are given the opportunity to explore the historic market town of Chipping Campden on their own with maps provided by your guide that includes recommendations of things to do and discount vouchers for establishments in the town. Broadway Tower and the “Secret Cotswolds village” are the next two stops where your driver guide will tell you more about these two beautiful Cotswolds places. Both stops last approximately 20 minutes. At around 1.15pm the tour arrives in Stow-on-the-Wold for the scheduled lunch break. Lunch is not included but with an hour and ten minutes there is plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and explore the highest town in the Cotswolds. Maps are again provided with discount vouchers, recommendations and a list of possible things to do. Following the stop in Stow-on-the-Wold the tour then heads South to the village of Bibury, famously referred to as "the most beautiful village in England" by poet William Morris. The 20-minute stop in Bibury will allow ample time to visit Arlington Row – arguably the most iconic row of cottages in the Cotswolds – and stroll alongside the river Coln. You may even be lucky enough to spot a brown trout or two! After Bibury is the final stop of the day and the “jewel in the crown” of the Cotswolds – Bourton-on-the-Water. After a short walk to the village centre, and a brief introduction to the village provided by your guide, you will have approximately 30-40 minutes to explore the picturesque little village and possibly buy some souvenirs to remind you of your day in the Cotswolds. After Bourton-on-the-Water the tour then makes its way back to Moreton-in-Marsh – arriving at approximately 5.00pm.
