We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliff Hotel. Staff were great - attentive and helpful. Our room was in need of refurbishment (carpet had iron burns for example) but clean and comfortable.
The sea view rooms all look on to a huge pipe which is from the extractor fan in the kitchen. It’s noisy but is turned off during the night until about 6.30am. We kept the window open for ventilation but once the fan started…..
Food in the bar was excellent and the service fantastic and can’t be faulted. Breakfast is also worth mentioning with an excellent full English. Beware there is no lift and the stairs to the top rooms are steep and narrow.

Very good but missing the finer details
"Generally a great hotel but could operate better, could not book any meals and drinks to your room which meant you had to carry your wallet, such a high end hotel should trust its guests more, plus you can take a pre-autherisation payment! Would stop ahain though as it really is a nice hotel"

"You could ask nothing more from a moderately priced hotel. Lovely traditional room, nice pub food, bar, good shower. Went above and beyond at breakfast time. Beautiful location!"
