We had a nice stay in this property. The beds were comfortable and I really enjoyed the espresso maker and on-site laundry. The unit was very clean. The location is ideal for exploring Ballard. As stated, there are quite a few stairs to navigate up and down, which we didn't mind. We were there during a major snowfall, and someone even came by to shovel snow off the steps. However, this care was not taken with every aspect of the property. As others have stated, the common areas of the building could use better cleaning, and some of the apartment's vertical blinds have fallen off, leaving holes. The fireplace does not work. The heater in one of the bedrooms also did not work -- on record cold days. I alerted the management and the next morning I was told that a maintenance person would be there at 10 am, but between the short notice and having been exposed to COVID, I declined. I appreciate they tried to make it right, but it's hard to believe that no one knew these didn't work. Check in was also not ideal, as I had asked in advance about early check in and was told to contact them after my flight's arrival that morning. I was not able to check in early. I don't know if they had another guest checking out that day or not, but they might have made arrangements in advance, which I would have paid extra for. That said, I would probably stay here again.
