Wir haben die letzten vier Nächte unserer Sri Lanka Reise hier verbracht und fanden es sehr schön und entspannend.
+ Schöne Hotelanlage
+ Gepflegter Garten
+ Schöner großer Pool
+ Super nettes und aufmerksames Personal
+ Sehr hilfsbereit beim Planen von Ausflügen (Scooter Buchung)
+ Leckeres Frühstück, entweder Sri Lanka oder Western Style wählbar --> beides super lecker und sehr sehr reichhaltig
+ Große Zimmer
+ Bett mit Moskitonetz
+ Wasserkocher und Zubehör im Zimmer
+ Föhn
+ Toll duftende Pool Tücher :)
+ Jeden Tag gegen 16.00Uhr fährt ein Bäcker Tuktuk vorbei (erkennt man an der Musik!)
+ Großer Schrank mit Büchern zum Ausleihen
+ Kleines Spa mit guter Massage
+ Die typischen Züge Sri Lankas, die ab und an durch den Garten fahren
+ Einfacher Zugang zum Meer
- Schrank mit den Büchern war an einer Stelle eingebrochen und roch sehr modrig (in der "Bibliothek")
- das Spa liegt direkt neben der Bibliothek, hier hätten 1-2 Duftkerzen mehr gut getan
- Empfehlung für das Spa: vll noch Hintergrund Musik leise laufen lassen?
- man muss sich etwas an die Züge gewöhnen, dann passt es ;)
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und für ein paar Tage Auszeit super! Lage ist zum Besuch von Restaurants auch sehr gut.

Charming hotel close to the beach
Veröffentlicht am 09.04.2018We stayed for 5 nights and really loved our stay - very charming villa, nice furniture, fantastic food (just have the Sri Lankan rice&curry), friendly staff, beautiful garden.
Would recommend to go for a room with terrace or balcony as we really missed to have one.
Then a few things to critizise: the bathrooms need a renovation since they are a bit old. Also the walls are very thin - you hear everything your neighbour does....
Then we really missed some sunbeds at the beach as other hotels in the neighbourhood had - didn’t like the pool too much, as the water temperature was too hot and too many children at the pool. Sunbeds and some sunshades would be really lovely!
And then be aware of the train that runs through the backyard, at least 10times a day, especially the one at 4:30 a.m. (every morning!) and 7 a.m., a bit annoying at first but then after getting used to it ok and interesting to watch, didn’t hear it anymore in the end.
Besides that - a wonderful place to stay in Bentota!

It was wonderful to return here - I love this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is clean and fabulous for swimming and long walks. The staff are outstanding. In many years of travel I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel staff member more dedicated than the pool guy (pool is great for swimming laps too - 25m). The housekeeping team were great too - and surprised me daily with towel ‘art’ and flowers on the bed. Excellent food too!

A lovely boutique resort! The grounds were beautiful and the beach a short walk away. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Nice hotel, could use better beach setup
Veröffentlicht am 03.03.2020 auf HotelsNice facility, comfortable rooms. Pretty garden with pool. Pool was hot, but the hotel was adding cool water - just a hot place! You do need to cross the railroad tracks to the beach (as with most hotels in Bentota), but it's not that big of a deal - just no water views from the hotel because of the distance. What is most strange is that there is no setup of chairs/sunbeds/umbrellas or anything at the beach. On Day 2 of our stay we were able to get 2 sunbeds brought down to the beach. Seems really odd for a beach location. The ocean was pretty rough the first day, then slightly calmer the next two days - waves, but not knocking you over (we were there end of February). Restaurant staff is friendly and attentive. Food is very good, though not outstanding.

The staff are so helpful & go the extra mile for you.
The pool is super & the beach so near - it’s stunning.
You can easily go into Bentota town to shop or have lunch on the river.
